Honest informed opinions please.

Dont want to start the old fight again but would like some honest opinions, experiences please from those of you who have moved on from Griffith/Chimera cars to T350/Tamora cars.
As frightened as I was by many, I still went out on a limb to change from 500 Griff' to T350. So far?, very pleased. Whilst I always was/am a fan of Griffiths [have owned two over five years] the T350 is just superb in every way. Only downside that I can think of is the depreciation compared to the griff'. [maybe hoping to help change that with this thread]

I went from a Chimaera to a T350. Completely different cars. The T350 is better in every way except for sound effects (still sounds wicked when you get up the revs and it isnt exactly quiet at low revs either). A sports exhaust cures this though (but I'm not getting one since I like track days too).

Oh, the aircon/ventilation works really well too. Makes a change ...

Yep, as Targ,, I went from a Chim 450 to the Tam, and I would find it immensely difficult to go back to the Chim,,, the Tam is better in almost every dept. apart from the V8 bassline,, however, I do have a sports exhaust, and, to me, it sounds even better than the Chim did!

We are going for the best of both worlds. I'm keeping the Chim 450 and the wife is chopping in her Focus for a 2004 Tamora in the Autumn. We are pretty confident, having spoken to a number of Tamora owners, that the later models are pretty much bob on.

Not quite T350/Tam, but I went from a Griffith 500 to a Tuscan S, and the only thing I miss is the burble of the V8, although a set of CCC cans make the Tuscan sound fantastic in it's own right.

When I got the car, I thought that everything about it was another step up. Performance, handling, looks (in my opinion), practicality and safety are all improved over the Chim/Griff, and while I would still love to buy a Griff in the future (ideally my old one), I would never swap the Tuscan back for it.

Had a 400SE
Griff 4.3
Griff 5.0
Griff 5.0 (From new).

Now Tuscan S. (From new Oct 02, 10k miles now).

All the Rover engined ones I had needed at least 1 engine rebuild over the approx 10k miles I had each one.
They also NEVER ran right. As they got newer they got worse.
The newest was the worst. Almost everything went wrong at some point. (inc. 2 engine rebuilds!)

The Tuscan S has been very good reliabilty wise.
Very few probs. A better car in every way I think.
And to me sounds better than my Griffs. More aggressive sounding.

Any manufacturers car range should improve on whats gone before, exclude the odd turkey.

Do'esnt make the older models less desirable tho and depends on what your priorities are I guess.

If I could afford a new T350T I would buy one tomorrow but I would still want to keep my Griff.

I went from a Chim to a T350C and certainly no regrets.
The chim never had any major problems lots of small niggles, but the T350 is so much better, the handling is just poles apart, even in the wet its fairly progressive. Have to agree with others though that V8 sound at tick over is better, but this is a small price to pay for all the extra enjoyment gained when driving.
