I'm plotting an 'interesting' change to our property with a balcony, extended 1st-floor deck, changes to roof line etc. Not a big building project but I'm looking for some 'interesting' design, so I guess I don't want someone who's limited to square-box kitchen extensions out-the-back.

Property is in Dalgety Bay, so anyone got experience of someone who's a bit more 'open minded' in South Fife/Edinburgh...and also knows the foibles if the Fife planning department.

My mum used David Paton in Loanhead when she renovated her old house, it was quite an involved job, attic conversion with a roof terrace and most rooms were moved around in some way. I don't recall any problems from his side.
Might be worth a look.

If you can wait a few months I know an up and coming young architect who's thinking is always out of the box biggrinwink
He'll be in SQF from late May.... Unless he jumps ship and finds a job overseas byebye
