Why do you need to wait to get the insurance? Are they reliant on the website then? I wouldn't have thought so, but then I guess you've already tried.

Which insurance co were you trying?

I am a bit confused you say that you have been sent your new cars registration plate,so why was the plate not on the car when you bought it.

Then on your next post you say you have to get your new car an MOT,it does not need an MOT until it is 3 years old.

It appears to be a taxi so I'm guessing that is needed even on a new car.

Well, all I can say is that I've never had any issues registering our company vans with our insurers when having just the reg and no physical vehicle. I just tell them what the reg is, what the vehicle is and BOOM it's all done.

Sounds more like an insurer issue that anything. Ours are with Allianz.

Went through this with my insurer recently.

They did not recognise the reg, but they fully expected this. They just took the model and spec manually and all was well.

Just been through DVLA site display change times with DVLA. BEFORE the usual culprits get the flame guns out, I was interested in the VED status of one young berkmobile who likes to park opposite at AM times, with full car with "music" soundtrack from some WildWest Indian village ,pre attack. My bed was dancing to his bass volume( and NO- we are MUCH too old to even contemplate thatrolleyesrolleyes). Car showed VED expired, so a quick call to DVLA confirmed this ( and a change can take up to 5 days to show).
However, to night, I saw a pleasant sight. An unmarked car disgorged some officers. Then another. And an hour later, a van appeared, to take into custody, some boxes, a few bags ( size of large suite/dress bags, and according to Mrs WM, some electrical kit ad a large sheet of shiny sheet.
SO- TO any Warks BIB in CV10 AREA- beerideadrinkclapclap, and lets hope when the Gardener appears in front of judgehe gets sent somewhere to learn how to do gardening properly .
