Im part exchanging my V8S with a dealer, in exchange for a cerbera. I dont yet know what price they will offer me, whether I buy the cerb does depend on the price, but if anyone wants to make a quick sale, Id be willing to knock the pricedown, all depending on the price the dealer gives me tomorrow.

The car will be with me Monday/Tuesday, it will be with Austec Wednesday/Thursday, and if I dont have cash by then I'll likely be part exchanging it.

The price as I have said all depends on the price offered by the dealer, I do need a good price but may be willing to lower it, so get in touch if you are potentially interested.

Bob, I can't believe you are letting the car go for that much, or less. Are you sure you cannot afford to sit on it for a while longer.

You're obviously in the 'if I don't buy this car there will be no others like it' mode . To the extent that you're prepared to take a large hit on the V8S, which is good for those buying.
Hope all goes well and you're not diggng to deep into the cerbie reverse mountain .

Its the cerbera of my dreams! Its been 6 months since a yellow 4.5 cerb was in my local dealers showroom! I can only afford a 98ish, would rather not get a 96/7 model.

It's the right shade of yellow too, and absolutely everything else is what I want: interior, low milage, condition inside and out, full TVRSH etc

I'd have to sell for my S for 15.5k to get back the money I invested in the car (including insurance which doesnt really count). A dealer might get 13k. I might get 10.5 privately but I cant wait about. 9k seemed like a very good price if looking for a reasonably fast private sale. I cant wait, and am willing to part at 8k if a buyer can see it and get it inspected fast enough

Any particular reason for not getting a 96/7

Harry, it was just on my wishlist so to speak. There are dozens of absolutely fantastic 96 4.2s out there. I wanted a 98/99 4.5, figured I'd probably only be able to afford a 98.

No real reason, I just want to buy the newest I can afford and when your ideal car comes on the market...

Besides, I want to keep this car for a long while, and the newer and lower miler it is, the better (although 18k isnt a lot for a cerb, and I am going in with eyes wide open prepared to spend more on whatever crops up)
