The oil tank strap appears to be cutting into one of the oil hose pipes that goes to the heat exchanger.

Arethese hoses routed correctly? Is it me or should the hose run away from the tank, nearside of the swirlpot rather than behind as in the photos?

Is it actually cutting into the hose. Looks like it's laid flat against the strap from here which wouldn't hurt it. The hoses are steel reinforced. It would take a lot to go through one. I've tried and they don't hacksaw easily.

If your that worried release the nut and rotate the pipe clockwise to wove it away from the tank.

That hose has been replaced recently. Looks like one of RG from here. Tread carefully if your thinking of moving.. theyre the life blood of the engine

Yes they are new - fitted last year as part of the trackday prep and MOT by garage.

It's cut through the rubber gasket of the strap and the outer layer of the hose is starting to cut. I'll notch the strap and fit an additional gasket in the first instance. Then monitor and make a decision come service time.

Don't want to touch the hose at this time. Does seem a funny route when a shorter, less cluttered route is so obvious.
