Hi Lawrence. Good luck and enjoy the build. I have to fit the a frame and ARB to the rear suspension, the wings and the interior and my R400 will be ready for the iva, hopefully!
Don't get too frustrated with the manual, which seems more like an initiative test at times, and missing bits seem par for the course, though in my case they've been supplied quickly and without question by CC.
My kit arrived just before Xmas and I was abroad for February so it's taken a while but it's been good fun, rewarding and even before finishing this one I wouldn't mind doing another.
A couple of tips; when you're doing the head lights follow Daniel French's R500 blog. When fitting the engine, box, diff and prop, do it in the order the manual says. Seems damaged rear seals in the box are not uncommon if you don't. Fir me the whole powertrain went in very straightforwardly taking that advice.

Realist thanks for the tips. How many hours has it taken you so far?
Well, I haven't kept close tags on it but I've done maybe 10 days, 4/5 hours a day. I think the 80/90 hours CC reckon is about right though I don't include the time spent reading the manual in the evenings and 'nipping out' to buy a brake pipe bender or a laser mini pump for filling the diff/box etc!Thinking about that which box do you have? If it's the 6 speed, then filling it is doddle with the mini pump. Also, cut a 15mm length off a 3/8 Allen key, pop that into the filler plug and loosen/tighten it with a 3/8 open ender. That bit of Allen key is also useful for torquing up the chassis end engine mounts.
For the diff, I bought a laser drain plug key set from Halfords. Again, using the mini pump this job is easy.
I mention the above because I've read a few blogs where these jobs seem to have been problematic.
I'm sure that I'm rediscovering what many others already have but it might help.
