I am looking for advise on the best pressure washer to buy for use on the DB9V and to clean up the patio.

I have a Karcher..not sure if they are the best...the shopping channels always seem to have sales

I don't use the washer on the Aston...especially since it is a Volante so the water might creep thru the edges of the top

I got this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AZKE2HC/ref=pe_38572...

Very impressed by it - the patio attachment is amazing.

Its not top notch quality, but no worse than a Karcher at similar money.

Its great for the Aston as the wand from a metre away doesnt hammer seals (although I do keep it away from the headlamps).

Foam lance doesnt really cut it with snow foam but is great with std shampoo.

The bidet attachment tickles a bit mind wink

"best" is relative to your budget. If you just want to go out and buy something cheap and half decent that should last a few years then Nilfisk, Karcher, just about anything that comes with a "dirt blaster" lance will do the job - you don't want to try cleaning paving without a dirt blaster.

If you want something that will last, look at the likes of Kranzle, more expensive and probably wild overkill for most domestic use, but with the odd service it'll probably still be going when you're six feet under.

yes

I bought this kit a couple of years ago (paid a lot less) and it has been superb.
Add a snow foam lance and you are away.
Chassis nozzle is good as is the adjustable pressure one.
Used the drain unblocker with great success as well.
I decided against the same price Karcher as the pump was air cooled and not as robust.

Just bought one of these as the Karcher had died

http://www.screwfix.com/p/nilfisk-compact-c130-1-6...

Admittedly the Karcher was 4 or 5 years old but the Nilfisk cleans the patio about 10 times quicker. I wouldn't use anything stronger than a hose on the Aston though....

I use a Karcher K5, been great up to now.
Excellent with the snowfoam, don't use the power jet ( the one that pulses)and you should be fine smile

If you want the best on electric then you purchase Kranzle. If you want the best but have bit of a budget you buy Nilfisk or Karcher. If you're on a budget you buy something like Aldis own branded ones.

If you want a petrol one then you buy a Honda Brendon.

Without a shadow of a doubt Kranzle, built like a brick sh*thouse, makes Karcher look like a toy. Where Karcher use plastic Kranzle uses brass, the hose is a mile long, even the power cable is rubber and double the normal thickness.

You know you deserve it yes

That's the one that I got a couple of years ago and it's great. This was on paddy/Francis' advice.

However, it's worth buying a rubber hose from a seller on eBay. The OEM plastic hose is a PITA because it just curls up the whole time.

I use a Karcher K2 with foam lance adaptor. There are two hose attachments, one produces a rather aggressive circular motion for patios etc and one a normal lance that I use on Blofeld.

Honestly, having just dug out my Kranzle after a few years not having used it, my suggestion is just go buy a Kranzle - you're asking in the Aston Martin forum so in the nicest possible way presumably a coupe of hundred quid isn't going to bankrupt you biggrin

I've had cheaper machines before and they do daft stuff like the connections expand and contract as they're plastic so they can be hard to put together or take apart - this thing is brass and is built like a brick sthouse.

I have a Karcher 6.50 (with additional Foam Jet attachment).
Works a treat both on the cars as well as on the driveway and patio.
Had it about 5 years without issues.
