wheels refurbished
Discussion
Looking very nice, I find it very odd a lot of people spend a lot of money making their wheels gleam and then bolt them onto a rusty brake drum
a tin of Hammerite black satin smooth and in 1/2 inch paint brush makes it all look perfect and lasts a lifetime, I done the same to my old Monaro five years ago and still looks the same, goes on very easy and dries ultra quick.

Halfords, just a wire brush the hubs and paint, goes straight on over bare rusty metal and the finis is very good, make sure you get the smooth version.
Guessing it is best to jack the car up and get the wheels off to do this? I need to do mine but am quite lazy! Just had some bodywork done and these let the car down along with the calipers.dsmith1990 said:

Indeed! As I don't have axle stands I'm a bit worried about leaving it on the jack for a couple of hours waiting to dry. Is it likely to be alright?
Don't know anyone with stands and I'm not likely to use them in future.
You can wire brush and paint in 5 mins and pop wheel back on, just make sure you don't paint the part of the face the wheel bolts too, you will be able to see the mark where the wheel goes and it dries in about 10 mins anyway Don't know anyone with stands and I'm not likely to use them in future.

You live in Sutton/Epsom area don't you?Don't know anyone with stands and I'm not likely to use them in future.
If so i have some stands you can borrow whilst doing the job as i'm only in Croydon.
Mind you, I was supposing you had trolley jacks, perhaps you were going to use the standard jack? I used that once when I got a puncture, it twisted!!!!! I would not even bother using the standard jacks, go to Halfords and buy a couple of trolley jacks, have used mine a lot and work very good.

Yeah the standard one, hardly fills me with confidence! Thanks for the offer Maxmc2, I am indeed around Sutton and Epsom. I'll pm you if I get around to it in the next couple of weeks
