Very nearly took a ride up there today, bet it was sodding cold.
Your not wrong, I obviously did the typical English thing and didn't worry a jot about weather so was ill prepared. It was bloody Baltic all day. Weather aside it was good soaking up all the octane laced air again after a long winter and seeing likeminded lunatics getting a much needed dose of circuit action.
The day was arranged such that the cars were split into 4 group classifications and was really a pre-season test day. Lots of classic stuff on track (mainly in group 1), Alfa's, Morgan, MGB... really noisy yank stuff but the place was primarily awash with Porsche in all it's glorious flavours (mainly group 3, which is the group I went out in).
The Mexican Sanchez brothers were there in an ST and RSR and a few German Former DTM (my friend pointed them out to me as I had no clue).
If yesterday was a bit special, I went back to the Ring today to meet a friend and his mate tips up in a LaF and another in a 599GTO. Mental, also saw a CGT for good measure and managed to throw my 996 around on a fairly quiet track. Said LaF owner was also doing sub 7mins BTG for fun. Mental.

Heard the yank stuff down here-top of Breidshceid.I thought it was supposed to be GP only? Still, it is Nuerburgring so they can change whatever they want!
Bet a proper Porsche was well received?
Both were open. But after around 15:00hrs it was a bit of a washout so most on the GP circuit cut the day short.Bet a proper Porsche was well received?

Saw some of these on Facebook Richard and looked like you had a cracking day or two. Am suitably envious but sure your 996 wasn't embarrassed as know it doesn't half fly along with you at the wheel!
Cheers Mike, glad you like the pics
Had to pinch myself when I got home, after a weekend seeing such beautiful cars and a fair bit of track action it was a bit of sensory overload. After this though, decided to get my @r5e up to the N.Ring GP circuit, Spa and Hockenheim as much as I can this year, as it has been too long now that I have had the chance to do any consistent track work.
