So, after 6+ weeks of ownership something has now caught my eye and refuses to go away. It's one of those things that now I know it is there will bug me every time I see it. The tailpipes on my DB9 are not equal. One side seems to be pointing down and protrudes slightly further out from the bumper. I have tried to manually adjust them without excessive force, but both pipes are secure. If you look at the pic below you can just about make out the right pipe is pointing down slightly. Is it something that can be 'fixed' easily or is it a big job. Shall I pretend that I never noticed.

Thanks

I had exactly the same problem with my first Vantage, it just wouldn't do me.

I took them both off and fettled the mounting tabs and spaced one of them, after a bit (quite a lot) of fiddling I had them absolutely spot on (within approx 1-2mm) each side. From memory they use ceramic washers on the mounts, I had to put ordinary washers behind one side to pack it out.

Is it a big job to take them off, are they accessible without having to remove the bumper?

No need to take the bumper off, I did remove the small tail pipes on the silencer assembly.

They are a chrome trim added to the actual exhaust. Just slacken them off and position them where you want.

Yep, as above, the bits you see poking out the back of the bumper are nothing more than decorative shiny bits. You can just about make out the real exhaust terminating inside the trim in this pic:

The trim itself:
