PWR Walkinshaw Supercharger
Discussion
I'm trying to find out more information about the Intercooled PWR superchargers supplied by Walkinshaw for the Monaro LS2's. I basically want to work out which generation Eaton rotors it will have so I will know if it will run hot like the Harrop 112's or cooler like the TVS1900's.
Once I can figure that out I can look into what power output and future potential it will have for getting more power keeping it cool/safe and also without fitting a cam.
Thanks in advance.

IMHO For the small extra cost of fitting a Cam at the same time as a S/C i would fit one... very BIG improvment than a standard cam with S/C
As long as its the new haertbeat or a TVS you should have no issues. But i would go with the heartbeat if i was looking now....
Upgraged the Cam as well... 20% reduction in engine temps

I appreciate it would make a big improvement but unfortunately I've drove a Monaro with a Monkfish cam and didn't get on with it for my driving style. I'm not knocking the Monkfish cam as it did make a noticeable difference over my standard camed Monaro but I am just a very small minority that prefer the standard cam for daily town driving. As long as its the new haertbeat or a TVS you should have no issues. The supercharger is a second hand one originally purchased in 2009 so definitely wont be the heartbeat but hopefully at least the TVS. I do know its definitely the smaller 112 or 1900.

Have you been in a S/C and Cammed car ? if not, were do you live. happy to take you for a spin in mine..

I S/C my car 1st then fitted the cam... Much better than S/C with standard cam..
122 s/c and TVS 2300 ...

I will ring Monkfish on Monday but just thought id check here first.Have you been in a S/C and Cammed car ? if not, were do you live. happy to take you for a spin in mine..

Just very low down in the revs (below 1000rpm) felt a little lumpy but to be expected with a cam. The car was N/A though so not sure if a supercharger would smoothen it out. Appreciate the offer to take me out for a spin but I live in Devon so quite far away but thanks anyway

I've attacted a photo of the supercharger in question.

No issues with mine below 1000rpm unless cold (1st 35 secs of running) Never heard antone with an issue with the cam ? even bigger ones ....
s/c will run out of revs with out the cam at upper limits

and cam makes it more drivable at lower revs

Will it run out of revs even with the 1900 supercharger though being smaller?
With the drivability at lower revs is that by killing some of the lower torque so it doesn't want to loose traction all the time?

After some morw google searching i could be wrong.
I would confirm with roger but surely it has a part number
Ok will check with Roger on Monday.I would confirm with roger but surely it has a part number
I will see if I can get a part number.
I'm just hoping its not like the Harrop 112 as they run hot and wont get the same power as a TVS1900

112 ?
I hope not as they don't give much power

With Cam it pulls harder to the redline and yes traction is much better with a Cam as it moves the power up about 1000 revs
It does sound very good but as tempting as it sounds I will stick with the standard cam for the time being.
