All, I had a quick go of a friend of mine's Cayman R yesterday. The test drive was very short and whilst I was very impressed with the car I could not ignore this low-frequency oscillating pressure noise, in fact it made me feel quite nauseous very quickly.

The noise/feel was almost like you had left a window slightly open or a sunroof open at the wrong place and that awful buffeting takes place. In this case in this otherwise glorious Cayman R there was no such open window or indeed sunroof.

Such a shame as the Cayman R felt really very good and I was longing for a better/longer hoon of it.

My friend was not as affected by it but to me it was almost unbearable to drive with the pressure oscillating like that.

I have gad a quick google for this and there does seem to be issues with the large tailgate/hatch on the Cayman producing this issue. So I thought I would come on here to see if this is something that is very common and if there is a fix for this issue.

Thanks in advance

Nigel

I had the same issue with my Cayman; it was fixed by simply winding down the rubber bump stops on the hatch. Get him to give it a go.
