Switching headlights to drive in Europe with PDLS

As all BGTS have PDLS the Head lights are switched to dip for Europe driving via the dash program according to the manual but my dealer told me I had to do it with a leaver behind the head light on my GTS ? What have other GTS owners found ?

Sounds like you've had the usual clueless Porsche salesman. Why they can't just say they don't know but will find out rather than coming out with BS never fails to annoy me. Mine told me you have to have the memory package to program the folding mirrors to operate automatically with door locks, (wrong) told me the door mirror puddle lights come with the interior lights package, (wrong), the PDLS+ is linked up the navigation and automatically dips the lights when GPS detects a road junction (wrong).

Yes, if you have PDLS you can definitely alter the dip beam for driving on the continent by the on board computer settings (right hand stalk - select settings I think, don't have the car or manual to hand). No need to remove the headlights.

The manual shows a setting under exterior lighting for choosing left or right dipping but I do not appear to have that option only fade time in that menu ?

I know it's there, as I found it on mine!..... Leave it with me (mine isn't a daily drive) I'll look this evening, refind it and let you know!

As I read it, the Cayman manual suggests the left/right conversion comes up in the multi function display - right hand dial on the dash.
It doesn't display there - it is actually on the screen of the PCM.

Switch on the PCM and press the Car button. Press the option tab at the top then choose Set Car>Vehicle Function>Exterior Lights and you will see the options there. The ignition has to be on to access this menu
