Then you'll probably be surprised how many pictures of smashed cars get the same sort of reaction, all over the internet. It's called laughing in the face of adversity. I'm guessing the Porsche owner is someone you know, so please pass on my sympathies - but if you can't in all honesty say that you have never made an 'it'll polish out' or similar comment when you've seen a dented car, then you really shouldn't take offence, and if you do take offence then don't come looking for comments about the crash in quiet corners of Pistonheads.
