You'd think after the mess in Iraq, the US would have learnt a thing or two... this is scary stuff...
And I dont get it, whats the point of the UN if the US does its own thing outside of the UN... more reasons why I think think the EU army should form, to combat the US's 'terrorist activities'...
I've got many Iranian friends, and they are peace loving people, and are generally happy with their leadership... who are the US to become Judge and Jury... that Bush has to be stopped before he destroys all chance of kerbing terrorism... these actions create more hatred and trouble for us 'generally neutral' countries who get pulled into the US's agenda...

Iran has the highest concentration of terrorist training camps in the world.
Evidence to back this up? I've never heard of this, its true 'most' countries in the world harbour some form of terrorists... thats just the way politics work... but to say the 'highest' concentration.... that sounds absurd....
More info Mungo.... links to official information... and not 'chit-chat' or 'propagana'...

I'd love to see a reliable reference for that Mungo.

Also if you have any Iranian blood in you at all and are male they will force you to do national service. I have a mate who is half Iranian and he cannot even enter the country to visit his relatives as he would get arrested and forced to do national service... and he is a Sergeant in the British Police! Needless to say he's no that keen to visit!
That's a pretty cr4p reason for starting an insurgency onto another countries soil.
Most countries that have national service are pretty strict about enforceing it. Otherwise a great many 18-21 year old French, Swiss and Israeli (to name 3) would just go abroad to avoid it.
Not sure what they are going to do there, Iran is a totally different proposition to Iraq, not to say that their forces are great but the distance and terrain would make an assult very difficult, there are also almost 70 million people and the economy is not battered like Iraq's was, considering the mess in Iraq I can't see theat they could ever raise enough troops for an invasion .
What I do expect and worry about is an American sponsored attack by the Israeli's on the nuclear installations. That could be a very nasty affair. the problem there is that no attack could succede without the Americans knocking down the defences which means that it could turn into another war.
The nuclear installations appear to be scattered all over the country not in one space like in Iraq, would require a massive attack.
Either way its far too bloody close

I read it somewhere a long time ago... it may not be true anymore, I don't know.
But when the US entered the "war on terror" making that decision has to be backed up with full commitment... Iran is an obvious target
Hehe, yeah ok, their dossier that was flawed left-right-center with so called intelligence that said Iraq had WMD's and was in bed with the Taliban/Bin Lard etc etc etc...
It wont take much lies this time, each time they get bolder and bolder, and one day, they'll just walk into any sovereign country and "knock, knock - you're out, we dont like your foreign policies, you have to bend over backwards for us or else, and you were warned last week"...

I suspect northern Ireland has/had the highest concentration of terrorist training in the world. America didn't give us a lot of help on that one did they?
Unfortunately it was all for the IRA.
Americans? Aiding terrorists? Bomb the bastards - they're an axis of evil!

Wasnt there intelligence that proved the US was funding them at some point??? Why didnt we send Uncle Sam a warning, like 40 odd trident nukes.
Anyway seriously, yup its oil, they didnt bother much with North Korea - and werent they like really close to having nukes or already got one or two? And they even freakin admitted it right???!!!!

A few decades ago, the american 'puppet' government in Iran was overthrown by the Islamic revolution, by Iranian people. Since then, America has tried everything in its power to screw them up, the Iran Iraq war, the sanctions, this, that, and that and this too...
History is a good thing, creates a better understanding and allows common-sense to make sense of worldly events, do a search in google!

Got to say the Mullahs are no angels, and if there was a prize for terrorism they would be up there, Hezzbullah is an Iranian invention that is still screwing up one of my favourite countries (Lebanon). The govt lost popular support many years ago resulting in mass flight to the west and other ME countries, but any chance of change is totally sunk by this type of sabre rattling by the Americans.
The more they do threaten the more people support the fundamentalists, I have been there several times and all iranaians I met hated their govt, but given the choice of them or the Americans, they will stay with their own flawed solution.
