According to my Spy Sweeper software a spy prog was downloaded with it (TKbelExe)

best to be safe, but a plain wmv file is fairly safe as to my knowledge it only contains stuff to call back to MS at worst

My apologies.
Apparently TkBellExe is associated with Real Player and tried to launch when I used real Player to watch the vid.

((TkBellExe is an executable installed with RealOne Player. This process works as a Scheduler for RealOne Player. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling this is down to user preference. See: evntsvc.exe.))

what, you mean Real Player is still riddled with malware? Well there is a surprise.

I refuse to use that program after they admitted they were capturing details of what video's you watched, what streams... along with details of what was on your PC, the hardware you had, how full the disks were, what sort of programs you had installed....

You have that Real Player installed? Strange that

I hate it the way it wants to take over the PC too but needed for BBC radio 4 replays.
