E3 GTS Windscreen

Any one know if they are the same as the VXR8's?

Have a small crack in mine which has suppose to have been treated, but it looks to me like it's on the move.

Might last ages, might go on the next run out, if I can get hold of a screen cheapish, thought someone, possibly Dougie ?? mentioned £375 odd at VX?? might of been dreaming / wishful thinking !! I'll get one, if not, might have to stick it via the insurance when the time comes.

Any chance you know how much VX are doing VXR8 screens for?

It will do once the crack is big enough.

If I can get one at a decent price, I'll get it fitted myself.

Don't think it will be long before Ins Companies start putting windscreens down as a claim against your policy !!

Not being in the Monaro circles I have no idea what an E3 GTS is. If you want to let me know what I'd be looking for I can check my model finders for you if you like.

Thanks Crossy, who knows to be honest, could be under HSV GTS, Holden GTS, E3 GTS.

It's a 2011 MY, 6.2 litre, HSV GTS on the log book.

E1's were the early VXR8's
E2's followed
E3 Next
Now they are known as Gen F's

I believe there is a user on ph called GlassMan that has helped others out here in the past with good feedback. Give him a try. I haven't used him my self.

I guess if you call out the screen replace guy I doubt very much he is to say no to changing just because it has a bad chip and not a crack

Sorry but that's all the info I could find searching Holden or Vauxhall. Not a lot to go on with the Aussie market unfortunately, they just don't tend to make their way here often enough I suppose..

The last is for the VE, which is probably the one, but I wouldn't want to put my money on it.

Searching Vauxhall Monaro VXR 4 door I can find one from 2007 on but no part number yet under Vauxhall VXR8 that last one comes up.

someone who is still fitting glass in the UK would be able to contactthe wholesalers and ask the questions. I'm out of it now unfortunately. Glassman would be able to help further I'm sure.

Monaro was just the 2 door coupe on the old platform.

Similar in Oz would be the Holden Commodore VE
