Leaky PAS fluid

Hi Guys,

Ive been using the car throughout the winter and shes been a treat, but recently ive been leaving it standing for a few days in the garage and when i get back, start the car up and get it up to temperature there is a mass of smoke that seems to be originating from the passenger side manifold/downpipe. The dense cloud of smoke seems to go away after a while of hot running.

After doing some research on here, it would seem the culprit would be the 'u' shaped hose that sits just under the manifold. I understand these have a tendency to leak, causing PAS fluid to seep and eventually find itself on the hot surface of the exhaust system that sits directly below it! The hose has been replaced and the same issue still remains. Both smoke coming from the surface of the exhaust and from the exhaust pipes themselves (i assume some fluid gets into the system through the exhaust coupler as it sits directly beneath the said hose?!.)

Any other ideas as to why fluid still seems to getting past that hose? its brand new and tightly fitted

It's not the hose that leaks it's the U Fitting
Check that it is this that is leaking then do your self a favour and buy jony z kit from the classifieds fit and forget

I had a look at the U hose today on mine, it looks like there's room to change the fitting on the pump and take a hose straight from there to the reservoir and loose the U pipe etc. has anyone ever looked into this?

Nip up the jubilee kits using a socket rather than a screw driver, they do work loose.

Or buy mikalor hose clamps and get them really tight.
