So I popped the Cayman GTS into my local Porsche Centre (Cardiff) to have my summer wheels refitted

They did a quick health check and told me they had to top up the oil with about 1 litre.
The car has only done 3,700 miles but Porsche Cardiff reckon it's completely normal to use up to 1 litre every 1,000 miles

No wonder there's no scheduled oil change for 2 years, all the oil will be renewed at least twice in that time

I've had 911s that have used a lot of oil and some that used virtually none. A litre in the first 4000 miles hardly seems something to get worked up about

I've done coming up to 11k (in a 981) and haven't added any oil. According to the computer the levels are fine. Now I'm starting to question the sensor!

Had oil changed in 981 BS at 10k with no oil loss, now 16k and according to computer still no oil loss. Seems to me that you get a Porsche that uses a lot or none with not much in-between.
