Number plate spacing confusion....

[wildcat45]

I'm confused. I don't want to break the rules about number plates and character/letter spacing.

It's an old style plate on a Pre Sept 2001 car, X reg.

I've tried to read up in it but I am confused.

Is this OK?

X31XXX ie all equal spaces.

Or does it have to be.

X 31 XXX

Cheers.

They are both wrong, it's X31 XXX
