So this ride height then, is it 5" to 6" from
the outriggers or the main chassis, or from where?

Outriggers i.e the tube that runs down each side of the car.Its generally measured from here as when your car is on the ramp its the only bit sitting above the ramp

I've looked in the bible and can't find this info
anywhere, is it the outriggers or the chassis?

I think it's 5 to 6" from the main central chassis members, and 5 to 6mm from the exhaust downpipes!

Getting mine set up on Friday..... told the garage 5" - 6" from the chassis at the edge of the car....
and then to lower it as far as they can so long as the bonnet opens, which I can't do now.....
Be sods law they have to raise it though so it looks like a moon buggy.... I hope not

Hoover(?),
I had adjustable AVO's and new springs all round fitted by Austec last year.
Had to call them up a couple of months later - as the whole car had 'settled' on the new suspension.
When I spoke to Mike, he handed me over to one of the guys in the garage, and he told me to put in about 1/2" of 'rake' between front and rear...so that's what I did! (i.e. front LOWER than rear by a tad).
It is a difficult call though! As you say you don't want it looking like a moon buggy perched on the wheels - at the same time you need a decent ground clearance.
Good luck! Nick.
