Whats going on ? a few months ago when i was looking for one they were like Hens teeth.

But now it seems every other S for sale is a V8 ?

Seems quite strange to me ?

Im not complaining as the one I bought is a cracker, but I feel if someone is looking for a V8s now, then they have quite a few nice ones to choose from !

Supply and demand,TVR's dont sell well in winter so those that have to sell take a big hit IMHO

I have still to sell my S2, but Im deffo waiting until summer, for a couple of reasons, mainly to allow me time to sort out a few things and also cos i hope it'll fetch a little bit more and be easyier to sell.

Looking from afar looks like some people gonna get nice sorted cars ! BoB's and Joolz are well known here and Adrians certainly looks like a nice one too.

Anyway, must order my brakes for the V8s before the new track day season starts

It can't last, there are not enough cars out there, common sense will return .

When buying mine I searched high and low, there was only 1 in england - from a dealer actually, and it was sold within weeks.

C14PPy's 100k high miler was in wales, there was only one other in the UK, also in wales.

I posted a "V8S wanted" ad in classifieds and got a call from an owner who was about to sell but had not posted any ads yet. He paid 13k 18 months before, and had only covered 1500 miles in all those months, and sold her to me at a great price!

I bought my V8 in September which was a bit of an odd time, being after summer and before a long winter. You have to be prepared to buy a good example when it comes up for sale whatever time of year it is, whether it's a grand more in the summer than the winter. As a buyer intending to keep the car for at least a year, waiting a few months and enduring intermittant use were less important than knowing I didn't have a forthcoming spring and summer of sorting out lots of problems.

I doubt that in recent years there have been so many good examples for sale at the same time. I wouldn't think twice about looking to buy one of those V8s, but, of course, good noises on the forums aren't a substitute for a professional inspection.

I think anyone wanting to buy a V8 before the summer could do well by doing so now when they have a choice, and enduring a mere 90 or so days of gazing lovingly at it in the garage and odd sunny Saturday blasts.

Having sold my "Cracker" - I'm seriously being tempted back into ownership.

How to get the funds out of the CFO is the problem!

I can see a coming!
