Very sad and unfortunate accident. Spectators should not be at risk.


This may be a stupid question.....I assume the ban only covers 'GT3 class' race cars and not GT3 road cars? I'm there on wednesday and Thursday in a road GT3...

I would assume so, as it was not the track that did the banned but the racing authority. Hope so!

Correct. What is banned doesn't actually reference GT3, but instead the VLN classes. Essentially everything from SP7 (where you find 911 GT3 Cup cars) upwards is banned. Cars in the FIA GT3 class are generally found in SP9 in VLN parlance (so the 997 GT3R, R8 LMS, SLS GT3, etc...).
