Is it safe to drink the day after it was purchased?

I've no idea, having access to 2 fridges means this is never an issue in Thomas Towers.....

Smell it. If it smells off it is off

in 10 deg it should last well over a day, it won't do you any harm either way

If, when you pour it in your milk it floats and goes a bit lumpy i'd be tempted to give it to someone else

Did you know that full-fat milk lasts longer than semi or skimmed?

Most people believe the opposite but its something to do with the cream acting as an anti-bacterial.....something like that (don't shoot me, I'm no scientist!)

Just be careful with 'iffy' milk.

You can get campylobacter

which, believe me is a very unpleasant experience.

Buy a cow and have fresh milk when ever you like.

Milk doesnt go off inside a cow so if you work out the body temperature of said cow keep your milk at that temp and it should last for ages!

Pour it into a glass before you smell it though, as the stuff which crusts up around the lid will smell off before the stuff inside the bottle. It will last at least a couple of days out of the fridge though.

For baking if thats what you are doing get some skimmed milk powder (alright its not semi) but then you will always have something to fall back on for baking.

Seems to work fine for me.

Not so nice to drink though.
