What's trending for summer 2015?
Discussion
Hello
As the weather is starting to change, the days are getting lighter, the salt has been washed away and we are wheeling our sports cars out of the garage for some great driving some may also be thinking about a new watch for summer.
Thought it would be an interesting post to see what's "trending" in people's minds.
The Basel Watchfair is now behind us and lots of new models have been launched that will soon grace the shelves of our favourite watch shops.
Is it Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Tag Heuer, Breitling...perhaps something British like Christoper Ward or Bremont...sporty/dressy/leather/rubber/steel...is gold coming back into fashion or perhaps bi-metal as a good balance?
My daily wearer is a Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 but for summer I am thinking of buying an Omega Speedmaster Solar Eclipse. I have had two of these before, foolishly sold them both but still have a desire for another. A classic design, a good size at 42mm,it's modernised with titanium and a rubber bracelet and it has a co-axial movement.
It looks like this http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/speedmaster...
Please post your thoughts, pictures and links to what you may be wearing this summer.
Cheers
Jonathan

Hi
I extracted this from Apple's website
"You’ll want to use Apple Watch all day long. So we gave it a battery that lasts up to 18 hours and made charging it at the end of the day utterly effortless. In fact, our goal was to make Apple Watch easy to charge in the dark. Without looking. While being only partially awake. We arrived at a solution that combines our MagSafe technology with inductive charging. It’s a completely sealed system free of exposed contacts. And it’s very forgiving, requiring no precise alignment. You simply hold the connector near the back of the watch, where magnets cause it to snap into place automatically."

Ah, not an 18 hour recharge! Still, I'd rather a watch battery lasted a little longer.I extracted this from Apple's website

That was more a personal statement as opposed to the market. I do think the smaller non sport Rolex are great value at the moment, and teaming them with a NATO/ ZULU makes them less old man.
For £1100 a Rolex taht looks great, what's not to love!!!
Ah, I prefer the Oyster Precision. Simple face. Only annoying thing is that it's a manual wind. For £1100 a Rolex taht looks great, what's not to love!!!
