Replacement Lights with Clear Blinkers for '98 996

I'm after some replacement lights for a 1998 996 C2 which currently has the standard yellow blinkers as part of the light assembly.

My OPC (in Adelaide - Australia) tells me that the 2000 model lights with clear lens will be a direct swap, but they are not cheap. $1,100 each for the fronts and $650 each for the rears, which is about 450 pounds and 275 pounds each = around 1450 pounds for the set (sorry - my keyboard doesn't have an English pound sign on it).

The Litronic option is nearly double this, so I've scratched that idea.

Have tried the local wreckers, but nothing on hand (lights are generally the first things to get smashed in any accident I guess).

Are the Australian prices above comparable with UK pricing?

Does anyone know if there are there suitable aftermarket lights with clear lens available in UK/Europe at all, which might be cheaper than the genuine items?
