Thanks to a friend trying their hardest to close my boot with the old latch in place i need a replacement.

Currently holding the boot open but would like to fit a gas strut. The locking mechanism sits in the centre of the boot.
Also the boot sems to sit proud of the boot when locked. Is this a fault of the rubber seal? Whats the best way to make it sit flush?

The gas strut is easy to get hold of, and fit, its an old reliant scimitar part. I fitted one to my old S2, cant remember the name of the company, do search as I posted it on here some time ago?
