Hi all,

Have tried searching but not found this issue...whilst under some acceleration last week my car threw up a flashing check engine light and the stability control said it was off, then it came back on within a minute or so.

Now every time I have started it the check engine light comes on.

I have also had the same stability issue about four times (this is each time it's been driven).

Speed sensor? Something more sinister? Any others experienced this?

Thanks in anticipation!

Jeff

Could be a speed sensor as that would turn TRACS off. Will pm you

Wouldn't a speed (wheel) sensor throw an ABS fault too..?

I fixed my TC troubles by re-seating connectors on top of the engine

Hi Jeff,
had this problem on my original 8 (snowwolfs) and Picador's traced it to an o2 sensor triggering the engine management light which for some reason turned of the traction control........god knows why, I just put it down to Aussie electrics!!....................;)

Hello Donk biggrin I used to get the traction control come off under certain conditions like going up a steep hill and in low revs add some gas, changing the plugs and the leads cured this problem by 90% I do still get it under same conditions but is now quite rare, I have also found I had the same problem when my air filter pipe before the maf came adrift, it def does not like that one bit smile
