Marvellous. I'm on holiday tomorrow till Tuesday with my family and then travelling to the Alps for a cycling trip next Thursday.

I am packing the bike in a bike box and thought today, I bet the seatpost will need to come out. I tried shifting it this evening and it is stuck tight!

So, due to a lack of time and patience, I'll have to drop it off at the LBS tomorrow and see if they can free it or at worst remove it destructively.

I then will have to replace it so I'll find out what options they sell. Any recommendations?

I just hope it can be repaired or replaced, otherwise I'll be sound a few alpine cols on my CX bike!

Grrrr

Nice and easy with a heat gun might help or boiling water if you havent got one and wear gloves incase it shatters if you happen to use too much force.

If it will come out the LBS will be able to get it out (if they are any good!)

It's out!

A vice and a lot of twisting and pulling did the trick.

Thanks to Deveraux Cycles in Lymm!!

Phew!
