Using an iphone whenever I click on a link from the homepage to read an article it comes back with 'Sorry! An Error occurred. Please click a link in the navigation at the top.......'

So I click the link as it states and it comes up with the same thing......

So I click the 'view full website' link and it comes back with an error '404 Page not found......'

Anyone got any thoughts, been happening for quite a while now?

Looked through website feedback and couldn't see anything on this and thought GG might illicit more of a response.

Won't defend using an iphone!

Cheers

Same here. Poor form from the guys running this site. Been like this for ages. Now when I click on view full website I get an error page too. Bout time they got it together really. Puts me off bothering to read articles. It's not like an iphone is rare either is it. Come on guys. Earn your money!

Sorry you're having problems, what skin are you using? I view the site on my phone and ipad quite a lot and don't have issues.

Skin? I go to www.pistonheads.Com and can't use much of it. If I click on an article on the homepage a get a sorry this page can't be displayed message. If I go to the forums I can read posts but can't rey as it asks me to sign in. If I do try and sign in I get a password or username not correct message even though they clearly are. I have to click on view full website which gives me page not found but the navigation buttons kinda work. I can't see any of the homepage items but can get to forums and post. It's been like this for near enough a year. It's just tedious now. Can't believe there aren't more complaints. Possibly just me but I'm not sure how I can be clicking on a google link wrong?

Glad it's not just me, seeing as seemingly everyone has an iPhone im surprised there's not more complaints. Odd thing is this doesn't happen on other sites, even those not seemingly configured for Apple products.

To be fair. I've just cleared the lot from my bookmarks etc and added new ones from google ph and it does seem to work a bit better. As in I can now reply to threads without the whole rigmarole of logging in/out finding the non mobile equivalent etc. so try deleting your bookmarks and adding again from a google search for ph and see if that works for you.

And now it's broken again. Same result as before.

Are you looking at www.pistonheads.com or mobile.pistonheads.com - I have not seen any issues on www.pistonheads.com and the articles work just fine. For example, click on the following link and let me know if this causes you issues?

http://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-features-sh...

The mobile.pistonheads.com site needs to be turned off, but we are waiting on dev time to get the mobile forums sorted out before finally killing it.

Currently on main site on an ipad and it's playing up a bit, forum and sub forums load fine but threads aren't loading properly, it's doing a collage effect with white areas or text from a previously viewed thread, unless it's just my internet/ipad playing up

It's normally ok though and not like this, only problem normally is the banner at the top upsetting my OCD as it cuts of the end of gassing station, making it read gassing static

I get this ob the mobile site too. Its the same on 3 different android phones and now a windows phone. Not great.
The problem with going to the normal site is that the forums are set up for a pc so I cant see them on my phone

If you go into your preferences and change the skin to Beta2, then you'll get the appropriate formatting/layout on each device type automatically.
