No.

Just in general avoid pressure washing through the open areas of the bonnet and it'll be fine.

i do it so: drive slowly to the carwash to handwash the car, open the bonnet and pull over the top of the sp6 (exept manifold) a thick plastic-sheet.

this works only when the engine is about a bit over just "handwarm".

now water can be blown with a spraying pipe and nothing bad happens.

My Tuscan doesn't like being started moved a few feet then turned off. Last time I did this it was a bugger to start a couple of weeks later.

After washing mine I always take it round the block a couple of times before putting it away, just to help it dry off and get rid of the water that collects in odd corners of the bodywork.
It also helps to get rid of the rust that forms on the brake discs.
If I remember, then I rock the car back and forward a bit the day after as the brakes tend to stick on even though I always just leave it in gear.

BUT I think the main thing is to relax and enjoy the car and resist the temptation to be too paranoid - they're really not that fragile!

I agree with Nick, take it for a spin to stop the brakes rusting and sticking. No hand brake and leave in gear. Sorted!

Sensible works nick, we are all over paranoid about these engines. Warmed up correctly on a run they will last longer than people think, moving the car out of the garage to wash and then back in will not do it any harm.. As said enjoy!!!
