Fun way to get from Leeds to Nottingham?
Discussion
I have to collect the car in a couple of weeks to bring it down to uni, but I can't face the boredom induceing stupor of the M1 on a Sunday afternoon!
Can anyone suggest an roads that I should try and include? I am thinking of going the Derbyshire route through the Peak district, good idea or not, what do you think?
Any suggestions welcomed, can't wait to get back in the car again!

I was bored the other day in the truck, had to get from chesterfield to Masham(near Ripon) so instead of going up the motorway I went up the A61 through Sheffield, leeds,Harrogate and Ripon that made a change.Try shadowing the motorways instead of using them, use what used to be the main road before they were built

Get off the M1 at junction 37 (i think) and follow the A628. Turn off at the woodhead turning and go over the dams. i'll get a map. The Woodhead road (B6105) is fantastic fun if you like lots of twisty bits and some stomach churning changes in levels
