Printer, Fax and Scanner Recommendations
Discussion
The other half needs all of the above for setting up her home office.
Is she better off with one of these all in one jobbies or with "Seperates" as it were.
The only stipulation is that it has to be able to recieve up to 25 pages in one hit...
Any experience?
Advice gratefully received...

Check out the new Brother CF620N.
Does all you require plus is networkable out of the box.
Also has a small footprint considering it's capabilities.
Flatbed and Auto Doc Feeder as standard.
Not sure about receive limitations if any.
Print quality is average, but not bad for around £180-£200. Sold a few recently, customers all happy.

Depends on budget and desk space.
An all-in-one device is never going to be "best of breed" in any dept. However, they do represent cracking value for money in a very small footprint.
Our office is very cramped, so an all-in-one was brilliant. The amount of space we reclaimed by binning the fax, scanner and printer and replacing it with a Hewlett Packard 7140xi was significant, and we got a colour photocopier thrown into the bargain for free (effectively).

Perfectly happy with my (now very old) all in one - the benefits of space and cabling far outweigh the negatives which, for average office user would probably only be noticable in side by side testing. I am now a stauch supporter of HP when it comes to printers so would recommend them first, having said that never tried Brother who I do believe are good. Only experience I had of a Canon was poor, might have been a one off but left a bad taste.
