996 on a gravel drive

Just got a carrera 2 which I love. The problem is, we have a gravel driveway which is on a slight slope and when I reverse off of it and the weight is transferred to the back, the off side front wheel locks up because I have the brake on. I thought I'd reverse up the drive instead but that's no good because it just wheel spins! Anyone else have similar issues or suggestions please? Thanks.
