Tyre pressures
Discussion
The different tyre front and rear ought not affect the alignment but it does seem to have a seriously adverse effect on the handling characteristics of the car whether aligned properly or not.
There is a general consensus of opinion that the front and rear tyre should be the same make, model and N number.
Many wouldn't ft non N tyres in any case, as per the Fuldas ?

I run Michelin Cup's (on a 964RS) and only tend to drive on circuit - but I run 30 to 32, hot, all round. Any more than that and it feels right dodgy.
The Michelin Cup's do dramatically increase in pressure once their being used properly - if you set them cold for the road and then go on circuit they can easily be 15 psi too high.

So do I but MPSCs have stiff sidewalls and your RS will be about 300kg lighter.
Having said that 44 looks too high for 18ins rears. I would have thought 36 all round a good start point.
Using road tyres I'll run 36 hot all round and can tell if presure is rising at track because over 40 the handling is just nasty.
