Yes, I used the same stuff on the bulkhead and inner wings, it's been on a for just over a year and seems to be holding up and doing its job ok.

how did you seal the edges, was it just a case of taping around the edge or folding over and stitching

Yes, used it on the prop heat shield with spray adhesive (evostick) and foil tape on aluminium. All ok
Used it to supplement tunnel fibreglass pockets, just slid it between chassis an put a couple dabs of silicone to hold it (next time the body is off will do a proper job)

I folded the edges over and used pop rivets and high temp silicone to hold it in place.

I was thinking about removing all the heat fabric in the tunnel and replacing it with this? Also was going to use it in the engine bay? Opinions please, would it be heavy duty or adequate as a replace for the original?

I used it under the bonnet of mine. It's an exact match to the original. I used No Nails to stick it on with. The edges i folded in on themselves and stuck them down before sticking the piece to the bonnet.

I personally wouldn't use it down the transmission tunnel, it doesn't provide any sound proofing.
I used woolies trim acoustic heat shield http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/p-1938-acoustic-heat... when I had the body off. It is self adhesive which makes it very easy to fit, noise and heat insulation is excellent much better than the original which looked like glass fibre in foil bags.

I thought it looked the same as well, the original stuff looks crap on the tunnel plus I dont think it did me any favours when trying to get the body off
