Hi.

I have recently purchased a pre-facelift 2002 986 Boxster S (picture below).

I would like to put some 19" 'Lobster Claw' alloys off the newer boxster on it to modernise it a little!

I have seen several examples with these wheels on.

Do they go straight on?

I don't know a great deal about wheel offsets or fitments so any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks in advance, Luke.

Replicas are available in 18" and 19", IMO either will look rubbish due to being incongruent with the age of the car.

Having driven Boxsters on 17s and 18s, 19s IMO will be pretty crashy on a bumpy A/B road blast.

18's are as big as you need on a 986. Unless you want to spoil it...

Don't do it. Stick with the standard 17s, or if you must upsize then the 986 18s , either Carrera or Turbo look.

I think they will look great on your car. They certainly will not make it look "rubbish", "naff" or "spoil it". Who cares if they are not standard fit for a Boxster of that age, 99% of people would be none the wiser anyway. I would go for it and enjoy.
