I might be wrong, but:

Stock LS2 headers would be cast iron lumps. The LS1 VXR had nice shorty headers that were half decent. So the LS2 ones wouldn't offer an advantage even if they did fit (not sure if they do)

You could PM JamesHSV, he's just changed his headers but they wasn't stock LS1 headers, might be a better upgrade, or at least another option if no stock ones around.

Failling that, maybe Monkfish or Walkinshaw might have a set laying around.

Also try Raving/Speed4u.

I will have a set in a few weeks. Depends if you can wait for them or not.

Just sorting a few things out before I spend money on getting cats made up for my longtubes.

AFAIK LS1/LS2 headers can be swapped, it's the bits underneath the car that are slightly different between them, but they will both bolt onto the heads ok.

Yes mine have now gone to a new home.

I believe jameshsv does have a spare set, although they are still on his car, they are LT iirc.

You'll be needing the associated cat pipes. You might also need O2 extensions (anyone know for sure?)

Yes, although I think the existing cats may be able to be cut down???

Loom extensions not required on mine, nor for the new LT headers either. There is only one set of O2 sensors on the 2004 cars (or there was on mine), maybe th extensions are required for post cat sensors????

Had a couple of good offers here many thanks, unfortunately my knowledge is lacking in this department so all help is appreciated, have thought about loosing the cats altogether but know this can be a pta when mot time comes along, plus not sure what potential gains I would get.
Car booked in with NWJ on the 27th to have some bits done and was hoping to get a set before so he can fit them, I should be at the v8 meet on Sunday, if anyone is going and has some then that would save some hassle!

ok so I reckon there are 3 sets available here of assorted headers, maybe even 4 - if someone has a set of ls1 HSV ones lying about still I'd be interested in taking them as they bolt straight on as replacements for the stock ones I believe. Failing that any other set (Capa) or otherwise thats going I might be tempted even if it means more work modding cat pipes. So basically if you havent already done a deal to sell yours pm me with a price and I'll see what I can do, sending the car off next week for some tlc so I can get her back on the road for the summer. May as well give her a little fettling while I'm at it.
