Been a Pistonhead fan for years and over the past 6 months or so looked on the cars for sale each day
l have never seen so many adverts hacked as on pistonheads
Surely there must be some security to stop this
Does not give faith to buyers or sellers

Can you provide some links to ones which you think are hacked?

As Pete said, links of suspected ads would be great.

The issue we find is that people will be emailed by scammers with an "is this your car" kind of email, they then provide a link for you to look at "your car", this link is a phishing website made to look like PH. You then enter your login details for the PH classifieds, the scammers then have your password. A lot of people use the same "secure" password for lots of things including their email account. You can guess the rest.

All popular classifieds sites are susceptible to scammers, ours seem worse as we have forums on the same site but all are the same unfortunately.
