Hi all,

I need an e-mail client that can handle multiple e-mail accounts (such as outlook) but that gives me the option to reply to e-mails from the relevant receiving address (ie as far as I know outlook will only reply showing the e-mail address that is set up as the default)

Not sure if I explained that properly so here's what I mean;

Receive e-mail at address john@john.com, Outlook default address is barry@barry.com, reply to e-mail and to the recipient it looks like the e-mail is from barry@barry.com.

I need something that says when I send the e-mail 'What account do you want to send from' that sort of thing.

At the mo I've got multiple e-mail clients running but would like to do it from one source.

Cheers guys

John

You can do it in Outlook.

If you have Outlook 2003, next to the send button in the compose window is an 'Accounts' button. Select the sending account from there.

In earlier versions i'm sure there is a 'Send Using' option but unable to check that at the moment.

That's how I do it.

Yes send using optoin avail in Outlook 2000 onwards I think, certainly 2002 which is what I have. In 2000 there was a drop down arrow next the send button and you could select account in there. However if you are relpying to mail received through john@john.com then it will automatically select that account for sending your reply (having said that I am never that trusting and always use drop list just to make sure I know what it is doing)

Another way

Turning on the from field should do it. Press reply on any mail then in the view menu put A tick next to from field. You can now pick your from address.

I think this works on the internet mail service but don't have one here to try it
