Good evening.
I've just ordered a new 2015 Octavia VRS and have added cornering fog light function. Can anyone tell me if this will look the same as the standard VRS (ie thin strip of lights) or will they fit the more chunky fog lights like other models have? Has anyone got this function who can show me a photo? Skoda dealers I've spoken to don't seem to know!! I'm just wondering if I should delete this option!

Many thanks.

My Audi and Seat have this, can't wait to vcds them out, would not opt for them, both cars just use the normal fog light for each side, left corner illuminates just the left one, reverse lights both up

I nearly ran into someone a few weeks back who's left foglight flashed a couple of times as they approached the roundabout. My autopilot saw an indicator, although my hindsight brain worked out what had happened.

F**king stupid idea, just like those DRL's that are so bright they have to dim for the indicators to be seen.

I wouldn't bother - you get bi-xenons as standard with adaptive front lighting, but they do an intelligent light assist that might be worth a look - sounds like high beam assist to me. It looks to include an auto dimming rear view mirror and rain sensor as well, which isn't standard on the vRS but is on other bi-xenon equipped models.

The fog light function is most likely just coding, as above. TPMS was an option on our S5, at similar money, which the original owner didn't spec. Added it through coding for free!

I've got it on my current Superb and really like the function and find it particularly useful. The VRS is a company car so I get to add options to a certain value and cornering fogs are only £105 whereas light assist is £310 and only really does automatic main beam. I'm just trying to find out what they physically look like.

who in the VW group thought that was a good idea?

"and as the driver looks over his shoulder reversing into the dark driveway, we will light up the front of the car with the fog lights"

I had cornering fogs on my Superb , wont do the adaptation on my new Octavia VRS as I hated them , seeing a light on your left come on as you are about to turn is very distracting

I will code high beam assist when I get a minute as I have VCDS

You do also get a dimming rear view mirror and rain sensing wipers standard on the VRS, side dimming and folding mirrors are an option though.

Both the cornering fogs and high beam assist are just coding changes, no physical changes to the car, you can get them done cheaply of even free if you find someone with vag-com , (sorry not offering my services)

what about bluetooth plus as an option instead , it does help the signal strength
