Hi all,

I've recently been looking into getting a TVR, initially considering a Tuscan or T350. I had a test drive in a Tuscan yesterday and at 6 foot four, this wouldn't really be a car I could drive comfortably for any period of time so I ruled it out. I sat in a T350 and that seemed even worse so now I'm turning my attention to the Cerbera (which will of course be slightly more practical than either of the Tuscan or T350). Is there anyone here about my size who either owns a Cerbera or has tried one in the past and found it unsuitable due to height?

I am 6"2" and fit in a Cerbera even with a helmet on no problem and I know where there is a mechanically good one for sale, if you email me on here I will send you details

I'm 6"4 with a Cerb and fit no problem. I tend to drive with the removable seat cushion out for better visibility.
You will fit fine.

Hi Willtl,

there are two types of seats in the Cerbera, later tuscan style seats with a removable seat cushion and earlier ones without. I guess if you can sit comfortably depends on the distribution of your body lenght more than on your overall height. For example I am only 6"2, but seem to be very tall when sitting;-) -so there was no way I could sit comfortably in my car at all. At the same time taller people don't have a problem. In virtually no time I removed some part of the foam of my seat and the seating position now is perfect (did a writeup on here).
Normally by this time some of the great people on here would have offered a test, so this is me offering to check out mine -if you are close to Berlin. If not you maybe attend to a meeting near you and see if some body will let you sit in his.
I can see no reason why you should not be sitting perfetly in a Cerbera in the end.

Yes on the Tuscan style seats the seat pad just pulls out.

So the model I saw today was from 1997. This suits me much better than the Tuscan. On Saturday I should be going to see a 2000 light weight model which should suit me even better!

Glad you fit smile Cerbs are the best anyway wink

P.s. although seats were different which may well be what you're after, take the "Light weight" description with a very large pinch of salt. There are variations in the body tub weights because all TvRs were hand laid, but on average so called light weights weigh the same as Mk1s. Just so you know smile

Not worried about the weight aspect. I've heard that the roof is slightly higher and that the seats are like the Tuscan (cushion can be removed). Also prefer the front lights vs the original lights.

There's been loads of discussion on this. Not sure anyone knows for sure. I got the impression they announced the lightweights publically, built the 6 genuine lightweights, had a nightmare trying to paint them then quietly went back to the original layup weights and hoped nobody would notice.

At least with Large Window, you do actually get a larger window!!!
