So I am still debating whether to get a Miltek for my S4, but having spoken to Audi I am still unclear whether it will invalidate my Audi warranty, they said as long as the exhaust was correctly fitted and it didn't cause any other issues relating to the new exhaust then it won't affect it, but this sounds like a get out clause, essentially blaming any issues I have on the new exhaust and then invalidating my warranty. Can the exhaust have any obvious knock on effects to the engine etc etc?
Beginning to sound like I can't get this done.....

Provided its downstream of any cats/sensors etc I can't see how it would affect anything at all

All and any modifications make warranty claims difficult. It is a very grey area so be prepared for a 'discussion' should you have an engine problem with an aftermarket exhaust fitted.

The Milltek system on its own will add a negligible amount of power; if any. Could/Would Audi argue that it did increase power if you had a gearbox failure? Quite possibly. I've heard of plenty of cases where cars modified for more power have had engine/gearbox warranty claims go through with no problem but equally we've had people ask us to burn their ECUs back to stock before taking them into dealers for a warranty claim. I've seen claims flat out refused too.

An exhaust on its own you'll probably be fine but there isn't a 100% answer.

If in doubt, leave it standard.
