It must do. Somehow I've managed to completely snap the alternator bracket whilst driving.
I'm beginning to think she likes to stay indoors

Kick up the ass it needs
It's in for MOT next week and to source a new bracket or get it welded.

Use one of Adams adjustable alternator bracket/tensioners. It looks the part and certainly makes adjustment sooo easy. Well recommended.

Hell's teeth, the alternator adjuster is 1/4" plate, how do you snap that? Or is it the big alloy casting on the front of the head that's broken? Mine cracked years ago but the bolt tension keeps it in place, I'll get round to TIGing it one day...

Out of interest is that down to over torque on the fixing bolt or just a steel meets alloy thing....Or both..

It's snapped right on the bend of the alloy bracket.
It's a good job my battery light came on
