The pistonheaders are planning a get together in a car park in Virginia Water on Sunday 20th February.

They have done this before but I've never been - it could be an opportunity for us to meet up and fly the Corvette flag.

Here's the link:

The car park involved charges so beware (£4 was mentioned). I know no more than this and don't even know where the car park is.

Who's up for it?

It is normally held in the main car park for Virginia Water. This is on the left on A30 between Sunningdale and Egham. Basically you come down a hill through the lights at Sunningdale Golf Club. The next lights are 200 yards further on and the entrance to the car park is just after the Wheatsheaf Pub car park on the left. Hope that makes sense.

I am probably up for that. Virginia Water is not that far from me. Very attractive walks around the lakes if you are in to that. I believe that £4 is the current rate for the car park, but at least it is right next door to a large pub.

Yep, it's £4 to park there which goes to the National Trust.

PH Calendar

It's an unofficial event that sees all manner of sports and performance cars gathering. Always an interesting bunch of convoys descending on the place (and the pub food is good! )

This could be a welcome early season day out as there's no "Motorsports Day" at Brooklands Museum this February.

[Brooklands do have "Mopar Muscle" on 29 May and "USA & Custom Cars" on 30 July]

Sounds like a good idea to me. I wouldn't mind going down to that.

If you're a tight git (who, me ?) and arrive early you can always park in one of the two lay-bys on the A30 outside.

I can remember the days when it was always free parking in Virginia Water...

Is that Mick with the red 73 from the Pompey area?? Are you coming to this meeting - I reckon we can muster a few more Corvettes this time.

Yes its me Rich, but how dare you say I'm from the Pompey area. I live in Locksheath with an SO postcode and thats where my loyalties firmly lie. I would like to be there this year but cannot say for sure at this stage. If I can a convoy would be nice if possible. Pompey, huh(he says sat here shaking his head in disbelief) I would have thought my refined nature and breeding would tell you I'm not from down there. How you keeping anyway?

Oops, the natives are revolting (at least those on the wrong side of Southampton are). As regards a convoy there was some talk of those from the South meeting Fleet Northside and going from there - I suppose people from Southampton can join us if they want to...............

Sorry if I offended you but you have to admit that you are nearer to Pompey than I am. Hope to see you soon, mate.

What time are you guys thinking of meeting up?

What would you suggest Andy - I was thinking of getting there around midday but the Vettes could meet somewhere beforehand and then descend en masse. Anyone got any thoughts???

My bet is the Ferrari Fellas will meet at the Maranello showroom on the A30, Egham by-pass. This is about 1.5 miles from Virginia Water car park, down the A30.

How about meeting there for the drive to Virginia Water car park? Time 12:30?
