BBS E88 on a 996MK1
Discussion
Hi all,
maybe one of you can answer my question: I want to purchase a set of BBS E88 for my 996GT3 MK1 but in what size? 8,5 x 18 ET 45 or 9 x 18 ET 50 both with 235 tyres for the front and 11 x 18 ET 63 with 295 for the back , will that fit? I don't want to roll the fenders.
Hope someone can help me out.

Drop DAB964 off here a PM, I've helped him bolt a set of E88's onto his Mk1 today. He'll be able to give you the specs of his wheels (8.5 X 18 and 10.5 X 18 IIRC) not sure about the ETs, but DAB should have them to hand.
You'll not get 11's on the back without some arch mods unless you're prepared to run the car higher and with some fairly big camber numbers. Note too that if you're planning on running Cup 2's in the sizes you've stated, they're very square shouldered and wide section compared to the equivalent PS2, SS, Continental etc.
If you're running Mk2 6 pot calipers on the front, you won't be able to remove the OE wheel spacers to gain more arch clearance.
Here's mine on 9 & 11 LM's, the rear arches have been heavily "massaged". :
