PS2 slim

[v12v8]

I've been offered an unwanted Xmas present for £99. Are they any good?

[Plotloss]

No real difference to the PS2 except for the fact that its got an external PSU.

I'm on the look out for one....

Network adapter is built-in too.

I paid £99 for mine before christmas with a DVD remote and a spare control. Recon the one you have been offered is worth a bit less than that.

they also don't play "all" games in that they don't have external HDD support so stuff like FFVIII or similar aren't playable...

They're just like a regular PS2, but with the addition of a network port and lack of harddrive slot. Well worth getting just for the sheer design of the thing.

Yup, thought there was some sort of mistake when it was opened on Christmas Day. It really is tiny, a DVD box and a bit.
