The meet of all meets..?

I've just been browsing through the fourms, and what is going on..? Every other model of TVR is arranging a meet... all very nice and good fun, but surely this is all getting a bit OTT... what next? The Sagaris meet - with both cars turning up? 
The S series meet worked last year as there were other things going on (the LMES race and a bit of a hoon for a start), but there are only so many TVR's even I get get enthusiastic about.
Pistonfest worked, as it wasn't just a group almost identical cars sat in a line (albeit in different colours). The beer tent, camping, drag racing, traders etc etc all contributed to a good weekend.
Don't misunderstand me, I love TVR's and the people that I've met through the club, and regularly attend Essex and Kent meets. However, these one make meets are dotted around the country and the prospect of travelling upto 200 miles to look at another TVR, identical to mine, whilst standing around doing nothing just doesn't float my boat.
Surely it would be better to have one BIG meet with ALL TVR's rather than fragment into models...?
I'm sure Yellow Peril could organise every TVR by colour, model, VIN, tread depth or any other permutation you can think of..

I think the whole thing with muti-meets is great at the moment, it gives people so much more choice of things to do.
You could have one big meet once a year but it will without doubt leave some people out in the cold logistically as generally 'the one big meet' would be in summer months, x people will be holiday - can't make it, x people live to far away - can't make it, x people are going to a wedding - can't make it.

The Chimaera drivers do it every Sunday morning at the local golf club, so why is there a problem with other marques having a a single model meet also?

Speaking on behalf of the Weathermen if I may, many people asked if I could
put a Cerbera event together given that the Cerbera Register was bringing out
so many owners and to the best of my knowledge, as yet there has not been
a large Cerbera event.
I attempted to do this last year, but not wanting to just have pub gathering
time and plans got away from me.
I hope to be able to announce the Cerbera plans shortly, but I have one
more meeting to attend before I can do so.
It hopefully won't be a just a turn up, kick some tyres and leave event,
certainly if what I have planned comes off it won't be.
Naturally it will be of more interest to Cerbera owners, but I hope
there will be enough to entice perspective and current TVR owners to attend,
but if not, people can doze in front of the TV with the F1 from Sao Paulo.
I'll certainly be attending events like the Car Club's main event,
the Growl, Modified meet etc etc if work permits, but then I just like
admiring these cars and seeing old friends, so personally I think
it's a great idea.

Can't help but notice no mention of the early classic's again. I agree with Podie and said before that single model meets are OK but then you have a general meeting clashing with a single model meet and you have fragmentation.
No point in fretting over it, were along way from that yet, but it will happen IMHO.

OK, firstly this was a serious question so can we leave all the jokes about Griffs / Chims and salons / golf clubs on another thread please?
Secondly, I'm not saying that it's a "problem" and there is nothing wrong with enthusiasm... indeed I consider myself an enthusiast, and a cursory glance will show that I've made more than my fair share of enthusiastic posts about meets etc etc... and not just local ones... things like the Surrey Run, Brighton Burble etc etc.
My point was that it'd be good to organise a big TVR meet, with more than just a line of nice cars.
Corin, people are always going to be busy, at weddings or something else. So would you rather have 6 meets with 50 cars (and only 40 turn up) or one big meet with 300 cars (where 240 turn up )...?
Wedge Girl, I see your point.. but these days S owners are doing the same, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Griff and Chim owners started doing the same soon... indeed some parts are already hard to find.
Obviously it seems that everyone would rather have their own little "club" than have a big meet with a variety of TVRs. Corin mentioned reports of "Power and Passion" yet clearly people are happy to moan about the TVRCC and their efforts, rather than trying to do a better job, or even HELP the club make a better event...

seriously tho, i raised this on another thread. the TVR calender (social & sport) is SERIOUSLY busy and there is a great risk of "diluting" the events by there being too many!
i thought it may be a good idea, next year, for all the single make doo's being held in the same month. as they don't nick people from each others doo's they could all be held in say may, leaving the rext of the calender free for "multi" meets.
to get a date for the Mod fest i had to talk to growl, BBWF, Cerby doo, tuscan doo, FOUR race series the tracks AND the TVRCC!!! NIGHTMARE!!!
there's no pistonfest or back home at the moment but i know of one more "official" event to come and its going to clash with someones doo!
anyway...i'm for as many reasons to get the cars out as possible, but a little more thought and co-ordination may help make next year a touch easier!!

I have now had 84 replies from people who want to come along.
I thought up the idea of a "Yellow TVR meet" And i think it will be quite a spectacle!!
I can't see why people have to post their feeling's on'why'it's being done??? Whats the problem????
Surely there are enough tivs to go around, and enough people with differant things that they like to do.

We went through all this with the BBWF last year .
To get some " Recognition" from the TVRCC , we made the event "Open" to all TVR's .
However , many people , and not just Wedge owners thought the idea was a valid one . Eg , individual marque meets , plus one "Big" ( Inexpensive!!) meet each year , ie slightly better value for money than Cardiff .
Where is the problem with that scenario ?
