Acid reflux and hearing loss

Does anyone else suffer from acid reflux and have a problem with their hearing?

I'm under ENT etc. for a blocked ear (six months) and it looks like the root cause might be acid reflux.

Has anyone else had this and if so did you sort it and how?

possibly Gerd or Gord, I had it and swore I had sinusitis, it is acid reflux high up. Not ear specific but cold/sniffles.

I got a 12 week course of Omprizole ( i can't spell it), it changed everything for me. I was really surprised at the link

In seriousness, as you know I could give you chapter and verse about hearing loss but I've got no experience of the acid reflux connection.

Iirc you've had issues with AR for a while haven't you?

What are the ENT people saying about it?

Interesting, thanks. I'm on tablets for it, only been taking them for a week. Just need to get the reflux under control to eliminate (and hopefully) cure it

I've had chronic acid reflux for years, as well as problems with sinuses and ears. If one acts up the other often follows suit.

Then again, I suffer from hyperacutism, so a little bit of hearing reduction seems like a blessing!
