New York AV conference hire - recommendations

[eharding]

Does anyone have a recommendation for AV equipment hire for a conference in New York? - I've had a quote of 1000 USD for a four-day hire of a 46-inch screen and stand in a couple of weeks time, conference is at a hotel on Park Avenue.

My first reaction was that I said I wanted to *hire* a screen, not buy one, but maybe that's the going rate?

Why not just buy one and then donate it to a charity afterwards?

49" LG for less than half what you've been quoted in Best Buy - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-49-class-48-5-diag-...
